Aggregate Crushing Value
The aggregate crushing value provides a relative measure of the resistance of an aggregate to crushing under a gradually applied compressive load. The oven dried and accurately weighed aggregates are subjected to crushing test on compression testing machine and weight of the resultant fines passing the specified IS sieve to the total weight of the sample expressed a s a percentage is defined as Aggregate Crushing Value. The apparatus is available in three size 75mm dia for 1/8” to ¼” size aggregate, 150mm dia for 3/8” to ¾” aggregate (standard) and 300mm dia for 1” to 2” aggregate. |
 |
Aggregate Impact Value
The aggregate impact value of coarse aggregate provides a relative measure of the resistance of an aggregate to sudden shock or impact. The oven dried and accurately weighed aggregates are subjected to a total of 15 blows of specified weight and fall and percentage of fines formed in terms of the total weight of the sample is expressed as the aggregate impact value. |

Cylindrical Measures
This test covers determination of the density of freshly mixed concrete and gives formulas for calculating the yield, cement content, and air content of the concrete. Yield is defined as the volume of concrete produced from a mixture of known quantities of the component materials. Bulk density is determined by filling a container of known volume and mass of concrete required to fill the container divided by the volume. |
 |
Density Basket
Used for specific gravity and water absorption test of aggregate. The basket is used in conjunction with a suitable electronic balance, a specially designed robust frame to support the electronic balance and water tight container. The Density basket is of 20cm dia x 20cm high fitted with galvanized wire mesh of 6.3mm with handle for suspending it from the balance. |

Deval Abrasion
For the determination of resistance of aggregate to wear by abrasion. Two hollow cylinders, closed at one end and provided with tightly fitting covers at the other end. The inside diameter of the cylinder 20 cms and 34 cms depth. The cylinders are mounted on a shaft at an angle of 30° with the axis of rotation. The shaft rotates at 30-33 rpm through a reduction gear, coupled to a motor. Suitable for operation on 440 volts, three phase, 50 cycles, AC supply. Supplied complete with a counter and push button starter. With 12 nos cast iron spheres or steel spheres (steel balls) hardened, approx. 48 mm in diameter, each weighing 380-445 gm. |

Jaw Crusher
Laboratory Jaw Crusher is designed to speed up the crushing of aggregate, ores, minerals, coal, coke, chemicals and other similar materials. It is compact and of rugged construction for general laboratory or small pilot plant operations. Two jaws of manganese steel are provided in the jaw crusher. The moveable jaw produces two blows for every revolution, thus reducing over sizing to a minimum. A combination of forward and downward and strokes with a rocking action exerts pressure on the coarse material to pass through the jaws. A hopper is provided at the top for feeding materials. The smooth jaws ensure a uniform product and easy cleaning is possible. |

Los Angeles
The machine is used for testing crushed slag, crushed and uncrushed gravel for resistance to abrasion. The aim of the test is to find the percentage wear due to the relative rubbing action between the aggregates and steel balls as abrasive charge. The oven-dried arrangements are weighted and rotated along with abrasive charge in the machine for the 500 or 1000 revolutions and percentage of wear so found out its reported as Los angeles abrasion value. |

Riffle Sample Divider
Used for rapid collection of the true representative sample from aggregate, sand and filters. Consists of a metal box fitted with a series of chutes of equal width which discharge the material alternatively in opposite directions into separate pans. The chutes of the riffle are steep enough to allow rapid flowing of the material. Each riffle sample divider supplied with two pans and one scoop. |
 |
Sand Aborption Cone & Tamper
Used for specific gravity and absorption of fine aggregates. The equipment comprises of a conical metal mould 1.5” dia at the top, 3.5” dia at the base and 2.7/8” in height and a metal tamping rod weighing 12 ounces and having a flat circular tamping face 1” dia. |

Sieve Shaker Gyratory
This sieve shaker is designed to carry up to 7 sieves of 6 inch or 8 inch diameter. The 12 inch dia.sieves can be used with the help of Adaptor. A 1/4 HP. motor through a reduction gear immersed in oil drives the shaker. The sieve table dies not rotate but is inclined from the vertical axis and the direction of inclination changes progressively in clockwise direction. If the stop-pin below the table is removed. the shaker can have a rotary motion. In addition to this gyratory motion of the table, there is an upward and downward movement ensuring that each square cm of the sieve is utilized. A pair of rods and a holder is supplied. The holder can be fixed on the top of the upper most sieves, and thus the sieve set is firmly held. Suitable for operation on 230 volts, 50 cycles single phase A.C. Supply. |
 |
Sieve Shaker Hand
This is a bench type model which is portable, sturdy and convenient for bench mounting. The side to side movement to the carrier which can take up to 7 sieves of 20cm diameter is through a chain of gears operated by a hand wheel. |
 |
Sieve Shaker Rotap
This Shaker reproduces both circular and tapping motion, Produces Circular (280-320 RPM approx) and tapping (140-160 RPM approx) motion with a uniform mechanical action which ensures accurate and dependable test results. This shaker is heavy in construction and no special foundation is required. The running parts operate in oil. A 1/4 H.P. electric motor runs the machine, the machine can accommodate six test sieves + set of Lid-pan but is supplied without sieves. |
 |
Sieve Shaker Table Model
(SOUNDLESS) VIBRATION TYPE CAST IRON BODY. Electrically operated Fitted with FHPElectric Motor inside the Body having speed regulator to increase of discrease the vibration. The table sieve shaker having the capacity of 6 test sieves of 20cm.dai(without test sieve and time switch.) |

Specific Gravity Bottle
Specific Gravity Bottle with stopper of 50ml capacity, which is available in two patterns: A. The ordinary capillary type specific gravity bottle with a neck of 6mm diameter. B. The wide mouthed capillary type specific gravity bottle with a neck of 25mm diameter. The ordinary specific gravity bottle is used for materials which remain absolutely fluid at 270C while the wide mouth capillary type is used for materials which remain semisolid of high viscous at 270C. |
 |
Thickness Gauge or Flakiness
Used to determine the flakiness index of the aggregate. The aggregate particles are to be considered flaky, if their thickness is less than 0.6 of their nominal size. It consists of a frame with sliding panel with accurate slots of different standard width and length, the complete assembly is chrome plated or powder coated. |
